Position Summary:

The Server is responsible for providing exceptional service to every guest who dines at the restaurant. The Server should be familiar with the menu and be able to make recommendations based on the guest’s preferences and dietary needs. The Server should also be able to take orders accurately, deliver food and drinks in a timely manner, and handle payments and make change accurately. The Server should always be attentive to the guests’ needs and strive to create a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests as they arrive and seat them at their tables
• Take orders accurately and deliver food and drinks to guests in a timely manner
• Handle payments and make change accurately
• Answer questions about menu items and make recommendations based on guests’ preferences and dietary needs
• Keep the dining area clean and organized, including setting tables and removing used dishes and silverware
• Communicate with the kitchen staff to ensure that orders are prepared correctly and in a timely manner
• Assist with restocking and setting up the dining area for service
• Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a server in a restaurant setting is preferred
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.

• Valid food safety certification (e.g. ServSafe) is a plus, but not required
